The Counterpoints : The 2001-2002 Season : The Mooresville 10th Annual Spotlighter Invitational

The Counterpoints swept the Mooresville 10th Annual Spotlighter Invitational on February 23rd, competing against 16 other large mixed show choirs to make it into the finals. There were six large mixed show choirs in the finals plus the winners of Mooresville's Festival competition (smaller mixed show choirs) and their Women's competition. In other words, all eight choirs were competing against each other in the finals.

The Counterpoints won Best Choreography and they tied with Teays Valley (Ohio) for Best Vocals; the Counterpoints were selected as the overall Grand Champion.

The results of the Finals competition were:

4th Runner-Up		Lawrence North (Winner of the Women's Division)
5th Runner-Up		Carroll
6th Runner-Up		Lawrence Central
7th Runner-Up		Whiteland (Winner of the Festival Division)
