The Counterpoints : The 2002-2003 Season : Photos : At the Carwash ...

What would summertime be without sunshine, music - and the Counterpoints carwashes? Organized by Steve Vice and the Carwash Committee, the Counterpoints washed enough cars to circle the earth three times. (Well, okay, maybe not that many - but it sure felt like it.)

Nonetheless, cars were washed, windshields cleaned, sunburns were received, and dishpan hands were commonplace. As a fundraising activity this summer surpassed all previous carwash records, earning money to help fund the coming season.

For the people who had cars to wash, the students who washed them and the parents who provided support, we would like to thank everyone who participated!

Solomon Allen, Kathleen O'Donnell and Ryan Thompson

Everyone knows it takes more than a willingness to work to attract business. Cute people with signs seem to do the job, though. Who could resist Solomon Allen, Kathleen O'Donnell and Ryan Thompson?

Kelly Arnold, Tina Swartzendruber and Philo Lange work on a series of cars.

Bugs and dirt don't stand a chance once the crew starts on the job. Tom Wolf, Jim Wolf, and Jason Gloye are just part of the group scouring this car.

Ooommmm .... mid-afternoon meditation? No, just Kelly Arnold, Michael Bair, Tina Swartzendruber, Tom Wolf, and Jason Gloye resting during a lull in the activity.

Calm after the storm

Above: Could be dance steps, but more than likely it's just Ben Kipfer and Tina Swartzendruber doing some strange things while they work.

Left: The calm after the storm ... wet towels and wet workers take time to dry in the sun.
