STATE CONCERT CHOIR COMPETITION
FOR THE SEVENTH YEAR IN A ROW!

North Central's Symphony Orchestra and Band also won state.
Congratulations to all the winners on a job well done!

On April 1, 2006 Counterpoints became the Grand Champions of the
New York Fame Show Choir Competition!
They also won the following special awards:
Best Vocals
Best Choreography
Best Combo -NC Jazz Ensemble
Best Rhythm Section - Ginny Kincaid, James Green, Nick Tucker
Best Repertoire
Best Male Sound
Best Male Solo - David Terry
Best Male Stage Presence - TJ Wilson

Counterpoints - winners of the State Show Choir Competition at Ball State!
On Saturday, March 11 (at about 12 AM), Counterpoints were declared Champions
of the State Show Choir Competition at BSU in Muncie, Indiana!
THEY ALSO TOOK HOME THE BEST VISUALS AND BEST VOCALS CAPTION AWARDS.

Counterpoints - Grand Champions of the Lawrence Central Competition!
On February 25, 2006
Counterpoints won the Lawrence Central show choir competition.
They also got awards for Best Visuals, Best Vocals, and Best Band.
In the vocal solo competition Abby Miller won first and Sam McKanney won second place.

Counterpoints - Grand Champions of the Ben Davis Invitational!
On February 11, 2006 Counterpoints won the Ben Davis Invitational competition.
They were also awarded for being the best concert choir, for best vocals, best choreography, and best band.
Best Performer was TJ Wilson, and Lela Rothenberg won the first place in the soloist competition, with other North Central students also placing.

In January, 2006 the Counterpoints Choir director Mrs. Pat Wiehe received
The Best High School Music Teacher Award
at the Indiana State Music Association Teachers Conference.
